Culinary Artistry is a full service catering company based in North Portland. We provide everything from valet service to floral arrangements, childcare to rental equipment: as much or as little as your event requires. Our professional service staff looks after all of you and your guests’ needs whether it is for a brand launch party or your special wedding. We will enable you to be a guest at your party and we will give you the freedom to focus on doing business or celebrating while we manage the details.

Our philosophy in the kitchen is simple: Start with fresh, local products and trust them. That insures that our cuisine is delicious, fresh and true to the bounty of quality products available here in the Pacific Northwest. Our cuisine is equal to any elegant restaurant. We use fresh, local ingredients from farmers and purveyors that we personally know and respect. We never use generic, preplanned or dated menus. In fact, each menu is written and customized for your event. Through initial consultations, we will pinpoint the style and theme of your event. From there, Culinary Artistry develops your menu. We work closely with you, making adjustments and alterations, ultimately assuring that the final menu is perfect for your event.

Experience
Since opening in 2000, Culinary Artistry has been considered among Portland’s top catering companies. We attribute our success to a commitment to our customers and a business philosophy that attending to each and every detail is central to conducting a successful event. Some of our noteworthy clients include: OPB, Janus Youth Programs, Nike, Ecotrust and many more.
Bar Service
We provide all types of bar service with fully trained and OLCC licensed bartenders. Our staff will work with you to create a beverage menu that reflects the style of your event, including personalized signature cocktails and handpicked wine selections to compliment your menu.
Capacity
We are able to provide plated, buffet and family style meals for groups from 10 to 300. We can accommodate up to 1000 for standing hors d’oeuvres.
Sustainability
We are committed to sustainable business practices. In an industry associated with a high level of waste, we deem it important to eliminate waste from the arena of catering and food service. We have worked closely with our waste management company to increase our recycling, but what really made the difference was composting. Whereas some businesses throw away food waste and byproducts such as butchering scraps, bones, shells and an assortment of other biodegradable products, we compost everything we can.
We build our menus around local ingredients and produce that will be seasonally available. We use local eggs, all natural locally farmed meats, and seasonal fish from the west coast. We brew fair-trade coffee from local roasters, we do everything we can to recycle, compost and not waste, and we regularly donate to Janus Youth Programs. This is our community and we are committed to sustaining and supporting it.

Commercial is a series of dinners in our commercial kitchen. Space is limited, only 12 plush stools around our large butcher-block table. It’s dinner next to the stove, and we mean literally, next to the stove. Of course wine and a full bar will be available, as well as a chef and host. Commercial is available for any occasion, rehearsal dinners, birthdays or a simple gathering of friends. Call 503-232-4675 to reserve the table.

We were pleasantly surprised to learn that chef and owner Jenn louis was named a 2010 semifinalist by the James Beard Foundation for Best Chef Northwest.
